Celebration of Worship
  Prelude
Offering Our Praises to the Lord
  Welcome and Announcements
Call to Worship - Based on passages from Isaiah 60  (Responsive)
Arise, shine, for our light has come!
The glory of the Lord has risen upon us.
Praise the Lord together.
The sun shall no longer be our light by day,
nor will the brightness of the moon shine on us,
for the Lord will be our light, and our God will be our glory.
The Lord will be our everlasting light,
and our days of sorrow will end.

Come, let us stand and greet each other with the Peace of Christ
and sing praises to our light and salvation!
*Passing of the Peace
*Hymn of Praise: #92                                 Crown Him with Many Crowns
Prayer of Confession and Assurance of Pardon
(Based on the words of the prophet, Malachi)
Almighty Lord, we have not set our hearts to honor you, revered your name, followed your ways, or kept faith with you or with one another.  We acknowledge that we have sinned and fallen from grace, and we seek your mercy upon us.  Forgive us, O Lord, we pray; purify us, and refine us. Let the righteousness of Jesus Christ rise within us like the sun, with healing in its wings.
[Silent Prayer of Confession]

     Praise be to God, who forgives us through faith in his Son, our redeemer;
who keeps us pure and blameless - who sanctifies us body, soul, and spirit for his righteous purposes - until the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.  Amen.
  Children’s Message and Blessing  (Unison)
May these children diligently seek after Christ and walk in discipleship with him, that they may know his truth, enjoy the freedom that it brings, and become his light in this world.
