History

The first Reformed Church in Kinderhook was built in 1677 and the second in 1717. The third church was built in 1814 at the site of the present church and was badly damaged by fire in1867. It was rebuilt in 1869, where it stands today at its present location on the corner of Church and Broad Streets in Kinderhook, N.Y.

Today, we support missionaries and staff throughout the world. We have Sunday School, Worship Service every Sunday, weekly Bible studies and prayer group and Vacation Bible School in Summer. We have family programs throughout the year, support missions with a yearly pancake breakfast and celebrate the season of Lent.

We have a Christmas program presented by our Sunday School children, an Open House Celebration with Kinderhook's Village Candlelight Night and a traditional Christmas Eve Candlelight Service.

We host pipe organ recitals and various concerts open to the public and many community groups use our facility throughout the week.

We have a committee system that encourages members to take an active role utilizing their God given gifts in the life our church and community as we seek to make Christ known.

If you are looking for a church that seeks to obey Holy Scripture and follow the Reformed Church traditions, we invite you to worship with us and become a part of our church family today and a piece of its history tomorrow.
