KINDERHOOK REFORMED CHURCH RECEIVES NATIONAL RECOGNITION/GRANT AWARD
Kinderhook Reformed Church is the recipient of a $100,000 matching grant for restoration of our building, officials announced Monday. The award from the National Fund for Sacred Places is a program managed by the Philadelphia-based Partners for Sacred Places in collaboration with the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Our congregation is one of 24 houses of worship nationwide to receive a share of the $4 million in award money in 2024.
This funding will launch a variety of capital improvement projects within our 150+ year old church building, including restoration of the iconic stained-glass windows and an ADA accessible entryway. In order to collect the full award of $100,000, the Church will need to be successful in its own fundraising efforts to match the grant dollar-for-dollar. We all experience grief in our lifetime. It is a road we travel. Through your sharing or even just listening you will have a place to hopefully feel support, find peace and a bit of help in dealing with your grief. All are welcome to join this group Wednesday January 15 from 1:30-3pm, or join our Saturday morning group January 18 from 9-10:30am. We meet downstairs in the church hall.
