History

The first Reformed Church in Kinderhook was built in 1677 and the second in 1717. The third church was built in 1814 at the site of the present church and was badly damaged by fire in1867. It was rebuilt in 1869, where it stands today at its present location on the corner of Church and Broad Streets in Kinderhook, N.Y.

Today, we support missionaries and staff throughout the world. We have Sunday School, Worship Service every Sunday, weekly Bible studies and prayer group and Vacation Bible School in Summer. We have family programs throughout the year, support missions with a yearly pancake breakfast and hold evening services during Lenten Season before Easter.

We have a Christmas program presented by our Sunday School children, an Open House Celebration with Kinderhook's Village Candlelight Night and a traditional Christmas Eve Candlelight Service.

We host pipe organ recitals and various concerts open to the public and many community groups use our facility throughout the week.

We have a committeee system that encourages members to take an active role untilizing their God given gifts in the life our church and community as we seek to make Christ known.

If you are looking for a church that seeks to obey Holy Scripture and follow the Reformed Church traditions, we invite you to worship with us and become a part of our church family today and a piece of its history tomorrow.

Bible Study - Galatians
7:00 PM to 8:00 PM
The Gospel of Free Grace, a 13-Lesson Study. We're all tempted to think there must be something we can do to make ourselves good enough for God—or at least to put ourselves more in his favor. But Paul wrote his letter to the Galatians to liberate us from any form of performance-based religion, no matter how alluring. Join Pastor Rudy as he leads us through this study of Galatians on Tuesday evenings at 7pm via zoom. The first class will be February 9th. If you would like to join in please contact Pastor Rudy at rudy@kinderhookreformedchurch.com.

During the pandemic we are continuing to sew from home - mission trip has been postponed to 2021

Love to sew/quilt & looking for a new way to help out? KRC has a large stash of fabric and are looking to make individual quilts to give to each of the homeowners that will be helped during missions trips. We also have other sewing projects planned. We try to meet every week, but please check with the church for more details as our projects and plans for each Thursday vary.

Mats, cutters, irons, ironing boards & sewing machines are available for use at the church or bring your own!
