Sing to God, sing in praise of his name,
extol him who rides on the clouds;
rejoice before him - his name is the Lord
Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior,
Tell everyone the wonderful things God has done.
Our God is a God who saves!
Sing praises to the Lord!

Sing and proclaim the power and majesty of God!
*Hymn of Praise #29 O Worship the King
Call To Confession
We know that all have sinned and fallen short of God’s glory. Christ’s faithfulness to God shines a light on our own brokenness and disobedience. Yet Christ also points the way for us, beckoning us back to a fuller relationship with God. Let us confess our sin before God.
Prayer of Confession (Responsive)
O great and almighty God, we bring ourselves before you just as we are - broken, sinful, and weak.
We confess, O God, how difficult it is to be still in you.
We confess our lack of quiet trust in you.
And once we are still, we confess how difficult it is to listen.
Speak gently, O Lord, in our silence.
[All Is Silent before the Lord.]
And once we listen, we confess how difficult it is to obey.
Forgive our restlessness, our hearing deficiency, and our neglect of love
towards you, your word, and our neighbor.
[Personal Prayer of Confession]
“I am the Lord, and there is no other; beside me there is no God.”
So God says, and so we believe. Yet we do follow after others: gods of
appetite and passion, of state and status, of group and self.
There is only one Lord, and we know it –
but terror, anger, hatred, jealousy, lust of position, and selfish satisfaction
so easily lord it over us.
On our own, O God, we fret and fail, and confess our desperate need of you.
Call us back to the life that you intend for us. We pray in the name of
Jesus, the perfector of our faith. Amen.
Assurance of Pardon
God’s love is abundant. God hears our prayer and is gracious to forgive. The cross is for us a reckoning — the debt is paid, and mercy flows out, sufficient for all.
Thanks be to God! Hallelujah! Amen!
Children’s Blessing
Gracious Father, shower our children with blessings that exceed our dreams, and let your love flow abundantly into their lives. Fill them with an irresistible desire to further your kingdom by sharing your love and your blessings with those who are in spiritual and physical need. Amen.
We Come before God’s Open Word

May they be used to promote the Good News of Christ; the whole truth of scripture; and the spiritual nourishment, growth, and joy of those within our church family and far beyond. Amen.
Pastoral prayer
*Closing Hymn #262 Rejoice, the Lord Is King
*Benediction, Blessing, and Response Hymn My Friends May You Grow in Grace
My friends, may you grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior.
My friends, may you grow in grace, and in the knowledge of Jesus Christ.
